Rayman Legends for the Nintendo Switch Gets a Release Date – Demo Available Soon

The Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition gets an official Nintendo Switch release date courtesy of the team over at Ubisoft. Those looking forward to playing this title on the latest Nintendo console can get get their chance to play early this summer with a demo prior to its September 12th release.

What makes this port special is that the Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition will have several Switch exclusive perks, especially when looking at the controls specific to the Nintendo console. There will be local wireless support for players to enjoy a multiplayer experience under one roof for the Kung Foot mini-game as well as a Tournament Mode to further create a new layer of challenge.

Another feature unique to the Switch includes the ability to utilise the system’s touch screen when undocked. Players can use this to kill enemies, traverse the world within Rayman, and take advantage of the environment in both single and multiplayer modes.

There will be a demo available for those to try out the Definitive Edition this summer, confirms Ubisoft. There has yet to be a set release date for said demo, though there was a mixup in the European eShop recently when it showed up but then was very quickly pulled back down. With Summer in full swing, the demo will be kicking off shortly and we here at DFTG will keep you in the know as soon as that happens.

Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii-U, and PC back in 2013 as well as carried over into this generation with the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Vita. The Nintendo Switch port will round out the transition from the last generation to this one and will retail for $40.
