Monster Hunter: World Devil May Cry Event Begins Soon, New Mission And Gear Incoming (VIDEO)

Capcom crossovers is what dreams of fans are made of. Currently live is an event titled A Rush of Blood, which allows players to take part in a mission that grants special Mega Man gear upon successfully completing the tasks. Well, as long as one’s hunter rank is 13 or higher. Completing the respective mission results in a ridiculous and amusing outfit for a Palico pal to look like the Blue Bomber, but there’s another event on its way. There’s been a Horizon Zero Dawn and Street Fighter V theme, and now a Monster Hunter: World Devil May Cry event is coming soon, bringing limited time challenges and noteworthy gear. Check out the announcement trailer below:

Arriving April 27th, prepare yourself to fight “hellish foes” in the Monster Hunter: World Devil May Cry crossover mission titled Code: Red. By completing the challenge, players will receive a weapon that’s a “devious combination of the Force Edge and Alastor” and Dante’s alpha armor. Here’s the official synopsis for the event:

You’ll get to fight hellish foes in Monster Hunter: World to earn this devious combination of the Force Edge and Alastor. In Monster Hunter, that weapon falls in the Charge Blade category, and typically features a hefty shield that, when combined with its matching sword, can turn into a massive axe. As you can see, we’re putting a bit of a DMC twist to the formula and leaving the shield out of the picture altogether (you’ll still be able to guard though) and instead of a sword turning into an axe, you’ll get a Force Edge that turns into a massive Alastor.”

As for content to enjoy now, make sure to take advantage of the Spring Blossom event going on right now before it ends on April 19th. Spring decorations litter the Gathering Hub, and daily limited bounties are available for hunters as well. Don’t forget to trade in the temporary Blossom tickets for rewards and gear.

Monster Hunter: World is available now for PC and PlayStation 4. Are you excited for the Monster Hunter: World Devil May Cry event coming soon?
