Massive Dungeons & Dragons Event Revealed For This Fall

Dungeons & Dragons Celebration

A recent update from Wizards of the Coast saw the reveal of a new sourcebook for Dungeons & Dragons that will give players and dungeon masters alike a vast array of options, giving them tons of freedom like never before. The update also saw the announcement of a brand new event from the company called D&D Celebration, giving fans a plethora of D&D related content to enjoy.

The upcoming D&D Celebration event will consist of various streams featuring multiple prominent personalities within the D&D world with gameplay, panel discussions with the Dungeons & Dragons design team, and much more. One particular stream looks to be quite an ambitious gaming event, featuring over 1,000 players taking part in “the largest virtual game of D&D ever played.”

“Celebrate the release of  Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden with a weekend of Icewind Dale–themed virtual play sessions and help us create the biggest virtual tabletop roleplaying game event ever,” reads the website. “Fans will also get the chance to preview some content from  Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, the forthcoming book featuring massive rules options, subclasses, and more for the fifth edition of Dungeons & Dragons. Watch featured play sessions with D&D luminaries and learn something new with a slate of panels led by the D&D design team and community.”

The game will be run through the D&D Adventurer’s League and should fans decide they want to take part, they can purchase a ticket here with all the proceeds going to Extra Life, in turn helping support local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country. Players who sign up will be able to take part in a 2-hour online session fit for characters level 1-4 and will see an epic adventure themed around the Icewind Dale alongside others who wish to participate.

The D&D Celebration is set to take place from September 18 – 20 of this year. Let us know your thoughts on the upcoming Fall event for Dungeons & Dragons and more in the comments section below.
