Live-Action Bleach Film Receives First Teaser Trailer (VIDEO)

Bleach Film

Live-action versions of our favorite anime and manga seem to be all the rage lately, but it would seem that nobody is able to pull off the perfect transition from animation to real people. We’ve seen plenty of attempts, but none have been outrageously successful. This is usually due to many factors, including budget, casting choices, or just that it isn’t good. Plus, some in the community seem to give every live-action adaptation an abundance of criticism before it releases, which can end up hurting the success of a project. Needless to say, anybody willing to make that leap needs to be prepared to give it everything they’ve got. Next in line: The live-action Bleach film. But first, a synopsis for the anime/manga:

Ichigo Kurosaki never asked for the ability to see ghosts—he was born with the gift. When his family is attacked by a Hollow—a malevolent lost soul—Ichigo becomes a Soul Reaper, dedicating his life to protecting the innocent and helping the tortured spirits themselves find peace.”

The live-action Bleach film, while having only just released its very first teaser trailer, does not seem to be the exception when it comes to being criticized well before it releases. Mostly, it would appear that fans just wish for more of the anime instead. There isn’t much to feast one’s eyes on in the video below, but it does give us a good look at Ichigo and his Zanpakuto. It also provides a bit of rock with its soundtrack. Check it out for yourself:

What say you, fans of the anime and manga? Will the Bleach film prove to be successful, or is it entirely too early to make a judgement? If you were to give one piece of advice to the director, cast, and crew of this live-action adaptation, what would it be?
