Halo: Reach Third-Person Play Possible With This Mod

Halo: Reach third-person mod

Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC is off to a great start with the launch of the fan-favorite title Halo: Reach and its only been made better with the help of mods dedicated fans have come up with. While the franchise has generally been seen through the first-person perspective, a new Halo: reach Third-Person mod has arrived giving players a chance to experience the game through a totally different viewpoint.

The Halo Reach Third Person Campaign mod does just what it sounds like, letting players take on the entire campaign while in the third-person perspective. It’s a simple but interesting change, potentially bringing with it new challenges for players to conquer. For now, players can’t bring any mods into the multiplayer playlists, but the creator of the Third Person mod, AkFumbles, has explained that the mod will be usable in Firefight eventually.

Instructions on how to download the mod can be found on NexusMods right here, as well as details on how to work around the current lack of mod support from the game itself.

It is worth noting that there is no official support for mods just yet, but the developers themselves have explained how to work around this minor issue. As for the game itself, the full Halo: Master Chief Collection is currently available on Xbox One, but the segmented launch for the PC has begun with Halo: Reach. Next up on the list of releases for the MCC is Halo Combat Evolved and is set to go into flight testing sometime next year.
