Half-Life: A Place in the West Chapter 3 is Coming Soon (VIDEO)

The wait for the highly coveted next Half-Life title continues in the gaming world however that doesn’t mean the universe present in the game needs to stay stagnant. Set between the events of the first and second game is a new webcomic that follows in the wake of the Seven Hour War. The comic is created by Michael Pelletier, Ross Joseph Gardner, Heath Heil, and Rachel Deering with the first issue releasing September 30th of last year. The second issue of the webcomic released in February with the third installment coming soon. Arriving with the announcement of the release date is also a trailer for the issue.

The story follows Albert Kempinski and the search for his kidnapped daughter. The webcomic explores the trials and tribulations the new characters face within the dystopian city of New Franklin. The third entry is named “The Pit” and will continue on with the exploits of Kempinski and company as they further explore the secretes of New Franklin. It will be a culmination of the first two chapters, featuring a total of 30 pages for a sleeker, focused narrative that hopes to bring the city to life.
