If there’s one thing Genshin Impact fans have in common, it’s perpetually looking forward to what comes next. In this case it’s the game’s Version 1.3 update, which promises to finally bring the highly anticipated Adeptus Xiao to the game as a playable character, while also unveiling a bunch of goodies and quality of life updates for fans of the gacha game to sink their teeth into. To that end, developer miHoYo has released the Version 1.3 “All That Glitters’ trailer teasing what’s to come.

Genshin Impact developer miHoYo took to YouTube to release the new “All That Glitters” trailer showing some of what’s to come for Version 1.3. The trailer opens on the Male Traveler and Paimon wandering through the streets of Liyue, which are being illuminated by hundreds of lit lanterns. The scene then jumps to a look at the new event called Theatre Mechanicus, which tasks players with participating in a tower defense-like mini-game that rewards players with event currency. We are then given a glimpse at the new photography-based event, Five Flushes of Fortune, where players are asked to take pictures of certain things each day to obtain mysterious photographs that can be traded between friends and then submitted for primogems, enhancement ores, mora, and more . Getting down to business, the next portion of the trailer is all about Xiao, the max rarity character coming to the Genshin Impact in Version 1.3. We are shown a few of Xiao’s moves before the trailer moves on to the new enemy type, showing off each of the pool of 4* rarity characters that can be chosen from for free as part of the Stand By Me event in Version 1.3. Last but not least, we are shown a sorrowful scene of the male Traveler thinking about his sister, Lumine, and how much he misses her.

Genshin Impact Version 1.3 will be releasing soon. The game is currently available for PC, PS4, and Android & iOS devices, with a Nintendo Switch version currently in the works.
