Fortnite Map Makers Recreate Counter-Strike's Iconic Dust 2

We’ve been hearing a lot about Dreams lately, and how creative players have recreated classic moments from other video games within the robust engine that developer Media Molecule has developed for the PlayStation 4 title. While these creations are no doubt impressive – and oftentimes delicious – other gamers are going a decidedly different route to provide us with a heaping dose of nostalgia, such as the team that has lovingly recreated Counter-Strike’s iconic Dust 2 map using, of all things, the Fortnite Map Maker.

As reported by PCGamer, the folks over at Team Evolve are a group of players whose hobby is to create and share high quality maps utilizing the Fortnite Map Maker. In this particular case, the subject of their work is Counter-Strike’s Dust 2, and aside from some glaring imperfections (the trees), Team Evolve’s work looks basically perfect. Check out some shot-for-shot comparisons below:

For those interested in what Team Evolve does, they create “content in Fortnite Creative mode for the most iconic brands in the world.” Based on what they have to say on their website, said brands include Samsung, Nickolodeon, and other household names. Who knew map recreation could be so lucrative?

For those interested, Team Evolve’s take on Dust 2 will be available through Fortnite’s Battle Lab feature at a later date. Those that want to snag the code to the map should follow Team Evolve on Twitter for an announcement once the map goes live.
