Fall Guys Developer Acquired By Epic Games

Fall Guys

Fall Guys captured the hearts of many fans with its lighthearted battle royale-style minigame antics. Even now the game holds quite a bit of popularity, producing a variety of content as time goes on. Developer Mediatonic recently announced the reveal of Season 4 for the title, dubbed Fall Guys 4041, which is set to take players into the future with shiny new skins, content, and more. To top it all off the developer seems to have joined hands with another big name company in the hopes of expanding their horizons going forward.

A recent announcement from Mediatonic reveals that the team is going to be working with Epic Games so that they’re able to accelerate the plans they have for the game as well as bringing Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout to even more fans than ever before. A recent developer blog post reveals that nothing will change as far as the team at Mediatonic is concerned. They’ll still be as open with fans as ever before and plan on working with players to continue improving the title far into the future. The post also explains that the people working at both Mediatonic and Epic Games share many of the same goals and hope that they’ll be able to work together to take their games to even greater heights.

Fall Guys: The Ultimate Knockout is currently available for PC and PlayStation 4 with releases planned for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch planned for later this year though no official release date has been nailed down quite yet. With releases onto more platforms means that the developers at Mediatonic will also be able to take advantage of the systems already in place with Epic Games titles such as Fortnite and Rocket League allowing them to incorporate account systems, cross-play, squad vs squad modes, and more. It’ll be interesting to see where the developers go next with the title especially with the reach and technology integrated into Epic Games titles.
