It’s been a fantastic year for Wizards of the Coast as well as Dungeons and Dragons. From ports of classic RPG titles like Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights for the Nintendo Switch, new board games, and expansions. At this year’s Game Awards, Wizards of the Coast and company show no signs of slowing down anytime soon either. With “seven or eight” new video games in the works, including a solid, mainline appearance from Drizzt Do’Urden and his companions in Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance.

Addressing a few questions and concerns from fans regarding with USA Today, head of Tuque Studios Jeff Hatem noted that the single-player experience won’t be an easy feat to overcome. So, you must gather your party before venturing forth.

“It’s about you and your friends braving the wilds of Icewind Dale,” Hattem explained. “It’s one of the harshest places in the entire multiverse of Dungeons & Dragons. You’ve got frost giants. You’ve got goblins. You’ve got gnolls everywhere. You can play the game in single-player. … But the thing is, if you play it alone, you’re going to have a hard time.”

Unlike the previous Dark Alliance games, this will primarily follow Drizzt Do’Urden and his companions. For those that don’t know, Drizzt is a drow (dark elf) character shrouded in mystery and sex appeal. “Drizzt and his companions are some of Dungeons & Dragons’ most recognizable heroes,” head of franchise for Dungeons & Dragons Nathan Stewart said in a statement. “This all-new Dark Alliance will give players a visceral experience that drops them into the action of a Drizzt storyline like never before.”

Brought to life by renown author R.A. Salvatore in the long-standing fantasy novels, Drizzt and his companions of the Hall explore Icewind Dales with love interests, danger, and bloodshed all mixed in for good measure. It’s a long and worthy series to read if you’re into fantasy literature and now their adventures get a video game!
