New Diablo Game Possibly Revealed On Blizzard Store (UPDATED)

New Diablo Title Possibly Revealed On Blizzard Store

Update: Blizzard has confirmed with GameSpot that ‘Reign of Terror’ refers to a line of store merchandise, and not an unannounced Diablo game. Original story follows.

With the approaching event of BlizzCon and summoning of Diablo III on Nintendo Switch, it’s no surprise fans have got Blizzard on the brain. As such, eyes are likely glued to all available sources hoping for inklings of reveals, and it looks as though one may have been hiding in the merch-filled depths of the Blizzard Store.

Spotted by user ‘Nirolak’ on Resetera, a fresh influx of items have been recently added to the Blizzard Store in preparation for BlizzCon. Many bear the convention’s logo and state as much in their descriptions, but a number also sport the intriguing title “Diablo: Reign of Terror.”

New Diablo Title Possibly Revealed On Blizzard Store

As Reign of Terror doesn’t appear to be a known Diablo title, it could possibly refer to a yet-unannounced game in the series. At least, that’s what commenters were able to muster, but some were quick to put out the possibility of a remaster or remake of Diablo II, as well as the franchises’ reportedly planned Netflix adaptation.

As Blizzard have confirmed numerous Diablo projects in the works, it could very well be any of these above possibilities, including a trip into the realm of comic books. Although, it’s currently anyone’s guess as to what Reign of Terror could be, but that’s probably the intent as we head into BlizzCon.

Of course, Blizzard has more than just Diablo plans in motion, as Overwatch is also taking a large focus in the coming weeks. The multiplayer shooter is currently in the midst of Halloween Terror and is set to be featured at BlizzCon in a big way. BlizzCon 2018 begins next month on November 2nd.
