New Diablo Comic Announced by Blizzard, Four-Part Miniseries Revealed

Titan Comics is no stranger to amazing stories surrounding some of our favourite video games, and Blizzard titles are not exempt from that glory. The mega publisher and Blizzard Entertainment have teamed up once more for a new four-part miniseries centered around the iconic action RPG; Diablo.

The new series will follow the tale of a small group of zealous scholars joined by a few crusaders as they search for the root of all humanity; our true origins. The narrative is in fine hands as well with Marv Wolfman at the helm as the series’ writer alongside famed illustrator Piotr Kowalski. It will be a phenomenal journey if their previous adaptations are anything to go by, including Dark Souls, Sea of Thieves, Assassin’s Creed, Dishonored and Bloodborne – just to name a few.

We don’t have a release date at this time, unfortunately, other than it’s slated for 2018. We do, however, have a few stunning character sketches from the illustrator himself in the small gallery below:

For more about the most recent game in the franchise, Diablo III, check out the official title’s description:

“The Prime Evil rages within the Black Soulstone. Before the artifact can be sealed away forever, Malthael–Angel of Death–manifests in the mortal realms with a deadly new purpose: to steal the Black Soulstone and bend its infernal power to his will.”
