Devil May Cry 5 Playable Demo Coming Soon

Devil May Cry 4 came out in 2008 and that was over 10 years ago. Sequels like Kingdom Hearts, Red Dead Redemption 2, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and others sure take their time making their next debut, but from the looks of it they’ll be phenomenal. E3 showcased plenty of surprises and other expected reveals this year from PlayStation, Xbox, and various video game developers. One of the most highly sought after sequels would have to be Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5, despite the fact that it was the worst kept secret ever and it looks like they’ll be featuring a playable demonstration soon.

The creators behind the next entry into the DmC franchise didn’t make the effort either. From an officially registered domain right before E3 2018 and a shift to Capcom servers meant a surprise was in-bound. Thankfully, it hits the shelves early Spring and they’ve got plans in store for hardcore fans. Taking place at Gamescom 2018 located in Cologne, Germany, there will be a gameplay demo available to check out. In the latest episode of Capcom TV, the event will host the Devil May Cry 5 demo throughout its duration between August 21st to August 25th.

In other DmC 5 news, the game may set its narrative in London or a city that looks an awful lot like it. Screenshots from the announcement trailer at E3 this year presented some opportune analysis of the setting including glaring icons seen in red double-decker buses, discernible architectural designs, and symbols for the metro station seen in London. If that doesn’t scream England’s capital, we’re not sure what else does.

Devil May Cry 5 is scheduled for release in March 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam). It will feature “intense boss battles, stylish combat, crazy new tricks, and blood-pumping music.” What else could you ask for? Are you ready to head on over to Cologne, Germany to see what Devil May Cry 5 is all about?
