Devil May Cry 5 Trailer Reveals Dante Gameplay, Release Date (VIDEO)

This year’s Gamescom has already gone over decidedly well with gamers, with one of the more recent reveals being that of Medusa in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. During the Inside Xbox live stream that took place earlier today, Capcom released a brand new – and absolutely epic – new trailer for Devil May Cry 5, featuring loads of pulse-pounding gameplay, stellar music, gorgeous graphics, and a surprise visit from good ol’ Dante himself. Check it out below:

I cannot say enough good things about the new Devil May Cry 5 trailer. Capcom has done it again, injecting a full-fledged thrill-ride into a 3-minute trailer that is absolutely packed with insane action sequences, while at the same time showing off how smoothly the game runs with its high-end visuals. The fight scene that takes place in the library is particularly breathtaking, and with the light streaming through the windows the way it does, it feels like it would be a nice place to sit down and read a book were it not for, you know, the demons. And if that isn’t enough, Dante shows up at the end riding a motorcycle that he then pulls apart and beats opponents to death with, because Dante.

While this may be the end of the Devil May Cry 5 reveals at Gamescom 2018, those lucky enough to be in attendance will have the chance to test out the game’s first playable demo, which was completed by the developer roughly a week ago. As for when we’ll hear more from Devil May Cry 5, the developer revealed that we’ll see more of Dante and Nero at Tokyo Game Show in late September.

Devil May Cry 5

  • Legendary action series returns – The 16 million unit selling series is back with original Director Hideaki Itsuno at the helm of development.
  • A battle of good and evil – A demonic invasion begins with the seeds of a “demon tree” taking root in Red Grave City. This hellish incursion attracts the attention of the young demon hunter, Nero, an ally of Dante who now finds himself without his demonic arm, the source of much of his power. The supernatural family drama also continues as Dante, the Son of Sparda, seeks revenge for his brother’s corruption and mother’s murder.
  • High octane stylized action – Featuring three playable characters each with a radically different stylish combat play style as they take on the city overrun with demons.
  • Groundbreaking graphics – Developed with Capcom’s in-house proprietary RE engine, the series continues to achieve new heights in fidelity with graphics that utilize photorealistic character designs and stunning lighting and environmental effects.
  • Take down the demonic invasion – Battle against epic bosses in adrenaline fueled fights across the over-run Red Grave City.
  • Demon hunter – Nero, one of the series main protagonists and a young demon hunter who has the blood of Sparda, heads to Red Grave City to face the hellish onslaught of demons, with weapons craftswoman and new partner-in-crime, Nico.

Devil May Cry 5 officially launches for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on March 8, 2019.
