Destiny 2 Iron Banner Players Notice Something’s Not Right With Lord Saladin’s Lines

Lord Saladin

Trouble continues to swirl around the first Iron Banner of Destiny 2. Many fans have been upset with the lack of light level advantages that made the original Destiny’s Iron Banners so much fun. Now players are finding something off concerning the voice lines of the commentator of the gamemode, Lord Saladin.

Lord Saladin

The last of the original Iron Lords commentates throughout each match of the Iron Banner with pep talks and silly one-liners dependent on the performance of players within the Crucible, some of which can be quite entertaining. Strangely however, some players are finding voice lines that don’t match up with the character they’re playing as indicated by multiple Redditors.

I was playing on my warlock, and Saladin kept referring to Cayde-6 and calling me cunning. Confusing, but okay. Then I win a match, and he says, I quote, “Well fought Hunter, well fought.” Further, I played on my wife’s hunter a little bit while she was out of town to get her some tokens (Gotta support the wifey), and Saladin kept talking about Zavala.

Amidst the usual banter of which Guardian is best, such as Warlock’s for their utility in the raid, Titans for their defensive capabilities, or Hunters because of their speed Redditors have come to a consensus that this voice line glitch is legitimate occurring for all classes and is becoming more and more frequent after the last hotfix went live. Whether or not Bungie is aware of the bug at this point is yet to be determined, with Bungie’s track record on glitches within the game’s multiplayer so far, it shouldn’t be too long before they take action.

Destiny 2 is available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with a release on PC arriving on October 24th.  Have your run into the Lord Saladin voice line glitch?
