Hefty Destiny 2 Companion App Update Detailed – Here’s What to Expect

Destiny 2 Companion App

Bungie has assured fans time and time again that they are taking the improvements of the first Destiny into the sequel very seriously. From the introduction of clans, improved matchmaking, and more, they’re bringing in new ways to play the game and making it easier to join up with friends and make new ones. Now a large Destiny 2 companion app update is on its way to improve the features of the already existing app, which will add fresh ways to connect with people and manage your characters, clans, and overall game experience.

Two new tabs are coming to the app called the Explore and Clans. The Explore tab gives players access to the real-time happenings within Destiny 2, whether that’s the latest news and updates, new events, activities, and other aspects of the title’s community. The Clans tab allows players to create and manage their Clans, create “unique” banners, and even communicate with clan-mates through a text chat.

Many of the tabs from the first Destiny are also returning to the improved companion app such as the Gear tab, which allows players to manage their gear, armory, and other inventory items. The Recruit tab allows players to look for fireteams for any activity, and the My Profile tab is available to help manage your account info and settings. Lastly, the Support tab gives players the ability to report issues within the game and find answers to common questions or ask fellow guardians for advice.

The Destiny 2 companion app update will be arriving August 23rd and will overwrite the currently existing app in order to make way for the upcoming title. Destiny 2 will be releasing on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 6th, with the PC version releasing later on October 24th. Let us know your thoughts on the new Destiny 2 companion app update and other Bungie thoughts in the comment section below, and don’t forget to also check out Don’t Feed the Gamers on  Twitter for 24/7 coverage of all things gaming and entertainment.
