Demon’s Souls Remake Receives A Stellar New Gameplay Trailer (VIDEO)
Update: Since the publishing of this article, Sony has gone on to say that Demon’s Souls will not be coming to PC, and will in fact be a full PlayStation 5 exclusive.
Bluepoint Games didn’t have to go so hard on the Demon’s Souls Remake but the studio did it. They did it for us. Officially announced this past June, the Demon’s Souls Remake just dropped its first gameplay trailer during today’s PlayStation 5 showcase event, and it is absolutely stunning.
Bluepoint Games and Japan Studio released a stellar new gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated Demon’s Souls Remake. Bluepoint appears to be taking a similar approach to what the team did on the Shadow of the Colossus remake, though the studio is going a few significant steps further in ensuring that the remake does more than hold up against the mainline Dark Souls trilogy. Check it out below, and try not to cringe too much when the player absolutely refuses to pick up any of the items:
“In Demon’s Souls, venture into the fog-ridden kingdom of Boletaria,” the official trailer description reads. “Here, death is not the end, and again the challenge seems insurmountable. But this dark world draws you in nonetheless, with its sumptuous sights and chilling sounds. Through the power of the DualSense controller’s haptics, you feel every visceral blow, making even small victories all the sweeter.” Personally I think that the DualSense’s haptic feedback should literally slap a player when they die, but maybe that’s just me.
The Demon’s Souls Remake is slated to release on PlayStation 5 at some point next year, with the game also in development for PC. The title is listed as a limited-time PlayStation 5 console exclusive
