Demon’s Souls Remake Shows Off 12 Minutes Of New Gameplay (VIDEO)
With the arrival of the PS5 and its accompanying launch title Demon’s Souls Remake just a few short days away, Sony has released roughly 12 minutes of gameplay footage from the highly anticipated souls-like remake. Released as part of a special State of Play presentation, the gameplay takes a look at character creation, the game’s Nexus hub, and a few of the areas beyond the Archstones found within the Nexus.
Narrated by SIE Worldwide Studios Creative Director Gavin Moore, the latest batch of Demon’s Souls Remake gameplay finally gives us a good look at the working HUD within the game. Moore also reveals that both the combat timing and enemy AI is the same as what’s found in the original PS3 title, something that should delight those that were worried that Bluepoint would take things in a different direction.
During the presentation, Gavin Moore reveals that the Bluepoint team added “thousands upon thousands of new sound effects” to take advantage of the PS5’s Tempest 3D audio. Additionally, Moore reveals that the team rearranged and fully re-orchestrated the score from the original game using a full orchestra of 120 musicians.
While the Demon’s Souls Remake sports quite the impressive coat of new paint, the title will still likely be as brutal of a game as the original. Thankfully, the title will sport over 180 guide videos that can be accessed via the PS5’s UI for those that may need the occasional hint.
The Demon’s Souls Remake is slated to release on November 12, 2020.
