Death Stranding Director’s Cut Announced For PS5 (VIDEO)

Death Stranding Director's Cut Announced For PS5 (VIDEO)

Death Stranding is once again leaning towards the Sony side of things, this time with a newly revealed Director’s Cut coming soon to the PS5. Announced during the opening presentation of Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest, the accompanying trailer shows Sam Bridges poised to pull off some Solid Snake-like stunts in order to get his cargo delivered.

As shown in the above trailer, Sam Bridges enters a compound and comes across a unit of heavily armed guards. Our protagonist then considers a few different options to sneak past, including crawling through rat-infested vents and, rather humorously, jumping into a box. It should be noted that Sam jumps into the box and doesn’t pull it over his head, so it seems like he may need a few more sneaking lessons before he’s ready for the big leagues.

As for when Death Stranding Director’s Cut will be arriving, we only know that it’s coming “soon” to the PS5. Geoff Keighley does confirm that Hideo Kojima will share news about the title in the coming weeks, so that’ll hopefully provide more info on the game as well as an official release date. At the time of publishing it is also unknown whether Death Stranding Director’s Cut will be releasing on other platforms. In the meantime, it’s likely a safe bet to assume that it will be a timed PS5 exclusive.
