Dead By Daylight To Up The Ante On Graphics For Next-Gen Consoles (VIDEO)
Dead By Daylight the massively played 4v1 horror game has promised fans a feast for the eyes in their latest update The Realm Beyond which will be start with the first update on September 8th. This is just in time as Behaviour, the studio behind the fog prepares for the debut of the next-gen consoles later this year. The goal of the graphical overhaul is meant to “improve the immerson tenfold” for an already eerie and macabre environment.
According to the Dead By Daylight website it was stated that “Between now and Fall 2021, we will be introducing a series of free updates to our visuals, graphics, lighting, animations, and more for players on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia while also building up to a Dead by Daylight experience for the next generation of consoles. ”
Behaviour also plans to continuously support cross-platform play while simultaneously adding fine details (such as the way blood is reflected in the moonlight in the game) to really push player immersion to the next level.
Dead By Daylight’s popularity has grown since it’s 2016 release and this is no doubt due to the consistent additions made by the development team at Behaviour. Iconic killers like Michael Meyers and Freddie Krueger have helped rocket the game forward alongside creative original characters like The Huntress and The Oni (just to name a few). Dead By Daylight truly has given players an experience like no other by bringing in familiar and foreign elements and blending them into a beautifully nightmarish experience.
Dead By Daylight is current out for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch and also has a mobile version of the game. The PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Stadia versions are still in development.
