Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Introducing New Valentine’s Mode

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

It’s that time of year once again where people find themselves celebrating the concepts of love and romance with each other. As with many holidays, video game companies are beginning to cash in on Valentine’s Day events, giving fans a chance to take on two-person team events or earn various lovey-dovey items as they can use as they play. Treyarch is one such company getting in on the action, providing fans with a new game mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War that features some Valentine’s Day flair.

A recent Weekly Briefing for Black Ops Cold War reveals a whole host of new content coming to the game, including League Play, new store items, and namely, a new Valentine mode variant. Based on the classic Kill Confirmed mode where players battle and collect the dog tags of others, the new so-called “Kiss Confirmed” will instead see players collecting colored candy hearts for the new seasonal mode. A simple reskin of the game mode isn’t necessarily revolutionary but Kiss Confirmed is certainly an interesting way to ring in Valentine’s Day.

Keeping with the hearty theme, a special Valentine’s Day bundle is also set to become available in the in-game store including another Aug weapon blueprint called “Combat Cupid,” which gives players a cosmetic edge while stealing the hearts of their enemies. In addition, the store will also get a Lunar New Year Tracer Pack that features a Year of the Ox bundle with a “Golden Ox” skin for the QBZ-83, a “Golden Augx” skin for the Aug with gold tracers, as well as a Mardi Gras inspired bundle called “Captain Carnival” that features an epic “Breaker” skin for Baker.
