Borderlands Movie Wraps With Celebratory First Look At Jack Black’s Claptrap

Borderlands Movie Wraps With Celebratory First Look At Jack Black's Claptrap

Fans still know very little about the upcoming Borderlands film from Eli Roth. The cast has been long set, production was underway, and there is a synopsis of the story itself, but there hasn’t been much in the way of teases to really get an idea of what the film will look or sound like. Fans were treated to a recent glimpse of the characters themselves thanks to a series of images showcasing their silhouettes, and now a recent Tweet shows off what the film’s version of Claptrap will look like alongside confirmation that production on the film has officially wrapped.

The Tweet shows off an image of a model of Claptrap seemingly “sitting” in executive producer, Randy Pitchford’s chair on set with a clapperboard that reads “That’s a wrap.” The Tweet itself features a cheeky mention of Claptrap managing to make it down the stairs, alluding to the character’s nemesis as one who moves on wheels. The Tweet  also teases the release date of the Borderlands movie itself stating, “See you at the theaters in 20” followed by two bomb emojis. While it is unclear what the reference means it’s possible that it alludes to a year, potentially 2022 or beyond.

With development having been wrapped for the upcoming Borderlands movie perhaps fans will finally start to get some more teases to help gain a bit of perspective of what the film will look like as a finished product. When do you think fans will be able to see the upcoming film release onto the big screen?
