Pokémon Direct Set For This Week, Possible New Game Announcement
Pokemon fans are in for a treat, as Nintendo has announced a Direct presentation that is set to take place this week. In addition to this, it is very possible that we could be seeing a new game revealed.
In a tweet from the Nintendo of America account, it was revealed that the Pokemon Direct will be taking place on February 27th at 9am ET. The presentation will contain “roughly 7 minutes of new information,” but that’s about the extent of the details shared.

As many of you may know, Game Freak has had a “main series” Pokemon title in the works, with the intent to release it in late 2019 for the Nintendo Switch. While the Pokemon: Let’s Go games expanded upon the mobile hit Pokemon GO, this new title will feature the likes of abilities for the Pocket Monsters, held items, and a traditional catch system.
Of course, with the Direct presentation arriving on Pokemon Day, the unofficial birthday of the franchise and anniversary of the first game’s release, we image something special is in the works. Unfortunately, whatever they have planned for the Direct, we will just have to wait until the presentation to actually know what it is.
