The descendant of Urki from Far Cry Primal and secondary protagonist of multiple titles in the Ubisoft franchise is set to make a return. The man, the myth, the legend: Hurk finds himself in Hope County ready to take on Eden’s Gate in the latest Far Cry 5 character spotlight trailer.

While the character is known for his weird connection with monkeys and his love of explosions, fans really didn’t know where he came from until now. The video below informs players that Hurk is in fact from Montana, with Hope County being his hometown. Honestly, there’s really no surprise there but it’s interesting to say the least.

Guns for Hire in Far Cry 5 will each have unique perks and Hurk is no different. The crazy hero brings the boom with the ability to deal more damage to vehicles with RPG’s as well as use heat seeking projectiles for those pesky moving targets on the ground or in the air. As a special bonus, the character is blessed by the “Monkey King up above” making him a great ally to have when you just need to blow stuff up.

Hurk first appeared in Far Cry 3 as an NPC during the exclusive content called “Monkey Business” and was also a playable co-op character in Far Cry 4. He’s an interesting character who has brought a great deal of comedic relief to the franchise’s somewhat darker overtones.

Far Cry 5 will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
