Far Cry 5 Story Trailer Assembles A “Holy War” Resistance (VIDEO)

Far Cry 5 Story Trailer

Far Cry 5 is set to bring their established open world franchise to the new locale of Montana, and in keeping with past games, danger has an extreme presence. This idea isn’t any more evident by the game’s villain, Joseph Seed, whose extremist doomsday cult Eden’s Gate threatens not only the player’s well being, but all the setting’s local inhabitants. A new Far Cry 5 story trailer showcases the firm grasp Seed has on his followers, and the wrath that awaits anyone who resists his ways.

The released video sheds light on Seed’s deluded mission to ignite a “holy war” against the resistance that refuses his godly gifts. Throughout the footage, we get a good look at what the campaign holds, including plenty of intense action and a huge cast of both good and bad NPCs. There’s also bountiful opportunity to fight, shoot, and drive as one tends to do in a Far Cry game. Check it out below:

While Far Cry 5 already seems like an intriguing experience with its ballsy gameplay and oddly relevant political undertones, there’s also much to be had with extras this time around. Recently, the bloodthirsty leader of Joseph Seed was made available as an immortalized statue and a high-end vinyl edition will provide music lovers with the game’s unique soundtrack. Far Cry 5 will release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 27th.
