Killing Floor 2’s Halloween Horrors Update Adds New Map, New Weapons, And More (VIDEO)

Killing Floor 2: Halloween Horrors

A sizable update has arrived on Steam for Killing Floor 2, marking Tripwire Interactive’s newest seasonal update to the zombie (er, Zed) shooter game. Titled ‘Halloween Horrors,’ the update itself is chock full of new content, including a new map with achievements, two new weapons, something called the “Dosh Vault”, and more. Tripwire has released a trailer for the Halloween Horrors update, which can be seen below:

The new map introduced in the Halloween Horrors update is called Nightmare, an apt name as it introduces yet another hellish landscape to Killing Floor 2’s map rotation, not unlike the albeit more festive map introduced in the Summer Sideshow update a few months prior. In addition to the new map, Tripwire Interactive has also introduced a couple new weapons into the fray. The first is called the Hemogoblin for Medics, which essentially acts like a needle gun that sucks the blood out of the enemy Zeds. The other weapon is a rocket launcher called Seeker Six, for Demolitionists. Demolitionists can lock on to multiple different enemies and can fire up to six rockets at once. Of course, with new weapons also comes new Zeds to use them on. Included in the Halloween Horrors update are returning enemies King Fleshpound and the Quarter Pounds, both of whom originated from the game’s Poundemonium weekly game mode. With their introduction into Killing Floor 2’s survival game mode, both enemies have been rebalanced.

As with the last major seasonal update, players can earn seasonally-exclusive ‘Halloween Treat Tickets’ by playing the game and purchasing them through the store. These tickets can be exchanged for Halloween-themed cosmetic items. In addition to these items, the update has also introduced new crates, which include both new emotes and weapon skins.

Last but not least, the Killing Floor 2 Halloween Horrors update also introduces the Dosh Vault to the game, which serves as a place where players can earn items for completing both daily and weekly challenges. Vault Dosh can be earned by completing these randomized challenges, and can be used to purchase cosmetic items within the Dosh Vault.
