Middle-Earth: Shadow of War Endless Shadow Wars Arriving With First DLC

Shadow of War Shadow Wars 01

It has been just over a week since the launch of WB Interactive and Monolith’s Middle-Earth: Shadow of WarWhile the solo campaign is lengthy, players have already pushed through and are playing some of the end-game content, Shadow Wars. Unfortunately, there’s a limit as to how much the mode can be played, but that will be changing with the release of the game’s first DLC pack. Yes, endless Shadow Wars.

Shadow Wars allows Shadow of War players to challenge themselves by defending their strongholds against hordes of enemy orc tribes. During an assault, players are tasked with eliminating opposing War chiefs and Captains while holding on to the player controlled territories. There is a limit as to how many times the events can be ran, and fans have been asking for more since the title’s launch.

During a live-stream with the developers, it was briefly mentioned that with the first DLC pack, Slaughter Tribe, a patch will be released that will enable endless Shadow Wars. Judging by the wording during the stream, it does not seem like players will have to purchase the DLC in order to gain access to the endless Shadow Wars, but rather they will be released simultaneously.

With so much to do already in Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, it doesn’t seem likely that any DLC will be released in the immediate future, but surely within the next couple of months. No release date has been given for the Slaughter Tribe, as of yet.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is available now for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Have you played through the campaign already? Are you looking forward to endless Shadow Wars?
