Blizzard Teases Overwatch: King’s Row Uprising – Event Officially Kicks Off Next Week (VIDEO)
It is no secret that Blizzard has taken care of their players since the popular shooter Overwatch launched last year. With a steady influx of new characters, new maps, and events that appeal to their wide player base all around the world, it is no wonder that the FPS has acquired the recognition of a solid title. With fresh content filtering it at a steady stream, fans of this title are constantly on the lookout for what is coming next. In that hunt, a Twitter post by the Blizzard account just teased the latest event to hit the shooter: King’s Row Uprising.

The video in question, which can be seen above, is a short teaser that clues in players for what is to come in the upcoming event. The event itself will begin April 11th, which will take place within the map King’s Row (shocker, right?). An interesting thing to note within the short video is that the event appears to be within the timeline of the Omnic uprising, which can be detailed a little better within the animated shorts that Blizzard gave fans. If that’s the case with the April 11th event, then that puts the circumstances surrounding it prior to the game’s launched timeline.
The last playable event for Overwatch was the Chinese New Year “Capture the Rooster” and it featured changes to maps, a new capture the flag objective, and fun skins for many of its heroes. Whether King’s Row Uprising will be similar remains to be seen, though the team over at Blizzard did tell fans to “expect big things” in the coming months, so this could be something entirely new altogether. Perhaps a new animated short? Let the speculation commence.
