RUMOR: Project Scorpio Details Possibly Arriving This Week

Project Scorpio Details

Project Scorpio is the all too elusive console from Microsoft that is set to be released this holiday season. However, as April has begun, the specifics about the upcoming system that are currently known are rather minuscule. The hope has been that Microsoft would be giving fans all of the Scorpio details they desire at this year’s E3. While that sounds like a wonderful plan, we gamers can sometimes be an impatient bunch, and that’s probably why the rumor mill was in full force over the weekend on Twitter.

Things really picked up when Windows Central editor Jez Corden tweeted, “It’s true that Project Scorpio is going to be shown off very soon.” Granted, this came on the morning of April Fool’s Day, but he quickly stated that it was not part of the shenanigans that were somewhat overrunning the Internet. Here’s what Corden said:

Of course, that’s not all that was said this weekend. Industry insider Shinobi602 has potentially confirmed that the Scorpio details would be released this week. Paired with a tweet from The Inner Circle that says Thursday, April 6 is the day to really pay attention, the possibility of seeing some specs soon is becoming more realistic. With Shinobi’s past successes in rumors being true, the following tweet is definitely worth noting:

However, it was when the “XBoss” himself joined the action that the suspicions became slightly clearer. Phil Spencer was asked if there was any truth to the rumors of a Scorpio details reveal this week, to which he responded:

If these rumors are to be believed, we’ll be getting a better understanding as to what Project Scorpio entails this Thursday. And if not, we’ll likely be waiting until E3. Only time will tell. Whatever the case may be, check back in with Don’t Feed the Gamers because you know we’ll have exactly what you desire – sweet, sweet Scorpio details. You know, when they are actually available.
