BioWare Job Listing Hints At New Game From A “Most Prestigious” Franchise

BioWare Job Listing

With a new video game console generation on the horizon, gamers everywhere are hoping for the return of their favorite game franchises on the new hardware. One such franchise that many have been hoping to see a reprise from is Mass Effect, which has been on somewhat of a hiatus since the less than stellar reception for the latest entry Mass Effect: Andromeda. The past year or so has seen rumors of a new Mass Effect game or a remaster of the original Mass Effect trilogy abound, but a new BioWare job listing may point to the series’s glorious return.

Mass Effect

As reported on Prima Games, EA has released a new BioWare job listing on their official website. The position is for a Technical Director for BioWare Edmonton in Alberta, and the studio is requesting a veteran video game developer with at least 5 years of experience. As the description reads:

You will be the most senior engineering lead on the next major title in one of BioWare’s most prestigious franchises, and a contributing leader to BioWare studio strategy. You will partner with the other disciplines to build the technology and the programming team to deliver amazing player experiences.”

Many have theorized that the “prestigious franchise” in question is Mass Effect, as BioWare repeatedly promised that Andromeda was not the end of the series. Others believe that the game might be one of a few Star Wars games that have been teased to be in development. Whatever this game ends up being, hopefully, it finds a worthy captain to lead their technical team to galaxies unknown and romances we could only fantasize about.
