Wolfenstein II Devs Talk Dual-Wielding and Mayhem (VIDEO)

Dual-Wielding

Many videos for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus have already shown the all-American hero BJ wielding a weapon in each hand to deal mass mayhem and destruction to the German forces. MachineGames and Bethesda have sat down to detail the addition of dual-wielding and other new elements coming to the upcoming title.

Dual-Wielding

Exectuive Producer of MachineGames Jerk Gustafsson and Creative Director Jens Matthies got together with Bethesda’s Associate Director of Global Content, Gary Steinman, to discuss the dual-wielding component as well as the improvements made to the game’s system. These changes will allow players to choose between a large number of combinations of weaponry for more “over-the-top” mayhem and destruction. There is more to BJ’s arsenal than just guns as well. Players will see hand axes readily available within the game which provide more melee options than just the knife from the previously released title, The New Order. The last of BJ’s improvements is his enhanced freedom of movement, which also plays into the ability to utilize two weapons at once. Check it out in the video below:

MahcineGames describes the Nazis as the ultimate enem due to their representation of evil. They’re already pretty larger than life, however the massive amount of weapon choices will be necessary as the enemies in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will be also be bigger and badder than ever before. These foes include recurring enemies such as Super Soldiers and Panzerhund, the latter of which can be ridden for added fiery mayhem.

So far the game looks to be an excellent follow up to the previous title in the series. Wolfenstein II will be available for players to fight the good fight on October 27th of this year.
