Ubisoft Reveals Uplay+ Subscription Service At E3 2019 (VIDEO)

The folks at Ubisoft had a very impressive showing at this year’s E3 presentation, with the likes of Watch Dogs: Legion and Ghost Recon: Breakpoint taking the stage in a big way, with the latter game receiving a surprise celebrity guest in the form of Jon Bernthal and a very good doggo. One exciting topic that was saved for the near end of the presentation was that of Uplay+, Ubisoft’s brand new subscription service that is set to arrive later this year.

Announced during the presentation, Uplay+ is a monthly subscription service that will provide access to more than 100 Ubisoft games for $14.99 per month. The subscription includes new and upcoming releases, premium editions, DLC, and post-launch content, with a service launch date of September 3rd. Check out the brief trailer for Uplay+ below:

“More players are in the digital ecosystem than ever before, and a digital subscription is one of the easiest ways for players to access content,” says Brenda Panagrossi, VP of platform and product management. “With Uplay+, players will have unlimited access to our large catalog of games for the first time.” The subscription won’t just cover new and upcoming titles, either, as subscribers will also have access to a massive collection of older Ubisoft titles, from franchises including Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, Beyond Good & Evil, and more.

Uplay+ launches for PC on September 3 in North America and Europe. The service will also be coming to Google Stadia at some point in 2020.

So, thoughts on the upcoming subscription service? Do you think it is worth the $15 per month?
