Two Point Hospital Sonic The Hedgehog Crossover DLC Now Available
SEGA has endured after decades with several of its key franchises intact, with the biggest, of course, being Sonic the Hedgehog. The beloved blue rodent’s franchise has reached its 30th anniversary this year, and while there is no big new Sonic game to ring in the occasion, there have been several new ventures for Sonic this past year so far. A Sonic the Hedgehog LEGO set has been greenlit, and a Sonic crossover was released for Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. Now, SEGA has released a new Two Point Hospital Sonic the Hedgehog crossover DLC pack for the hit sim game.
SEGA released the new Two Point Hospital Sonic the Hedgehog crossover DLC trailer on its official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel, celebrating Sonic’s 30th anniversary with new Sonic-themed DLC. The key pieces of this new DLC add costumes for the player’s hospital staff, which can let them appear to be Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles the Echidna. The DLC pack also includes various Sonic items and furniture, including classic Sonic the Hedgehog game arcade cabinets and chili dog rugs. There’s even a Sonic statue not unlike the fans might remember seeing in tours of the Team Sonic headquarters.
This weekend also brings other updates to Two Point Hospital besides the Sonic DLC. In the next few days, players on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox can play the game free for the whole weekend, until August 2nd. The Steam version of the game also now allows includes the Korean language translation for the game, so Korean players can fully enjoy the game. SEGA has certainly made quite the crossover with this new DLC, and hopefully, Sonic doesn’t commit malpractice and end up losing all of his rings.
