The Witcher’s Henry Cavill Took His Geralt Outfit Home With Him
It’s taken quite some time to get here, but season one of Netflix’s The Witcher series finally released via the streaming platform just a few short days ago, and already fans that have binge-watched the entire season have begun to wonder what to expect from season two. Chances are season two will feature a new outfit for Geralt of Rivia, as it has been revealed that Henry Cavill took his entire outfit home with him once production on season one had completed.
The news comes by way of Henry Cavill himself, who spoke with the folks over at NME about the first season of The Witcher. When asked if Cavill had taken any pieces from his iconic Geralt of Rivia outfit with him, he revealed that he actually “took it all home” once he was finished with his parts of the show. “It’s not so easy to put on, and it took two hours of hair and makeup every day, so that’s just sitting at home looking cool.”
As mentioned, the second season of The Witcher was already green-lit by Netflix, which accounts for two of the seven seasons showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich has planned for the show. In a production such as this one chances are Henry Cavill had multiple copies of the same outfit in case his muscles got too out of hand, and it’s also likely that he’ll be getting at least a partially new outfit for season two. Still, it’s nice to hear that Cavill let his geek flag fly and snagged what everyone else would love to have at home.
Season one of Netflix’s The Witcher is now available.
