The Witcher Series Reportedly Casting Natalie Dormer For Season 2

It looks like Netflix’s The Witcher series may be adding another Game of Thrones alum to its list of Season 2 additions! With production having begun on Season 2 of the popular series, photos have begun to trickle out from in and around the set, which is currently filming in Surrey, UK. One such photo has surfaced of none other than Natalie Dormer, who played Margaery Tyrell on Game of Thrones.

The news comes by way of the folks over at Redanian Intelligence, which reported that the photo in question showed Natalie Dormer riding on horseback along with a crew member for The Witcher that works with Henry Cavill in some capacity. The photo was originally posted on social media by a casting assistant for the show with the following caption: “When you remember every day is basically a Saturday on The Witcher… bring [redacted] and Natalie Dormer, laughing, dancing, and riding horses!!!”

This is, of course, not a whole lot to go on, though Natalie Dormer being in the same area as where The Witcher is filming and seemingly being in cahoots with a few crew members seem to suggest that there could be something to it. It’s certainly plausible that Dormer is brushing up on her horseback riding skills prior to filming her scenes. There is also a bit of extra credibility to this since Dormer she isn’t the first Game of Thrones alum to have joined up for Season 2 of the show, with Netflix announcing last month that Kristofer Hivju had been cast as Nivellen alongside a few other casting additions.

It’ll be interested to see if Netflix announces any new cast members as production on Season 2 continues, and it certainly wouldn’t be too great of a surprise if we end up seeing Natalie Dormer on the list. Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher series is now in production.
