The Witcher Series Reportedly Casting Game Of Thrones Actor For Season 2
With pre-production having officially begun on season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher series, fans of the new show have already begun speculating on what can be expected from the series’ next outing. Some interesting character development and a more straightforward plot are two things we can expect from season 2, and now, it appears that a fan-favorite Game of Thrones actor will also be joining the cast.
The folks over at Redanian Intelligence discovered a recent Instagram post from The Witcher series director Stephen Surjik. Surjik’s post was in regards to his scouting out locations for season 2 of the show, and the end of his post included three hashtags: one for Henry Cavill (Geralt), one for Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), and, interestingly enough, one for Kristofer Hivju, who played as Tormund Giantsbane in the majority of the Game of Thrones series.
Surjik’s post has seen been deleted, which only adds to the intrigue of his hashtag spree. It is of course only speculation at this point, though adding Kristofer Hivju to the cast can only be a good thing for The Witcher series, especially if he has a “big woman” to pine for at some point in the show. We can hope, can’t we?
The first season of Netflix’s The Witcher series is now available. Season 2 is scheduled to release at some point next year.
