The Sims 4 Announces The Release Date For Seasons Expansion (VIDEO)
The Sims 4 team has announced the upcoming release of its fifth expansion called ‘Seasons,’ which is set to release next month. As guessed by the name of the expansion pack, the focus is to add weather into the daily life of your Sim and allow them to take part in the different experiences that can be joined throughout the various times of the year. From having snowball fights, to enjoying the heat – to even maintaining your budding garden and watching the changing of the leaves – there are so many new activities for Sims to enjoy. Electronic Arts some details on what fans can expect from the Seasons expansion of The Sims 4:
With a vast variety of weather elements that empower the ways players can play with life, The Sims 4 Seasons will allow players to use their Sims to tell relatable stories like those they’ve experienced in real life. The ever-changing weather will transform worlds in unique ways by impacting gameplay choices, Sim’s relationships, and Sim’s daily life, while also delivering new challenges,” said Grant Rodiek, Producer. “Our team has worked hard to bring this highly-requested expansion to the game, and The Sims 4 Seasons adds more dimension to The Sims universe than ever before.”
From what can be seen in the trailer, there are plenty of new activities that players will be able to enjoy in the game. As to experiences in real-life, it’s no surprise to see the lack of enthusiasm from the in-game characters when having to deal with certain yard work like shoveling snow and raking leaves. However, there are many other things that can be seen like lounging out in the pool to avoid those hot days and getting together with other members of community to build snowmen and have barbecues. Additionally, the different holidays of the season can be see in the trailer, allowing players to decorate their in-game house to help celebrate the occasion.
Some other details shared by EA on The Sims 4 Seasons went further into the experiences that they think fans will most enjoy:
The Sims 4 Seasons adds a slew of new, festive holidays to bring Sims together to celebrate with their friends and family. Help Sims get in the holiday spirit with new decor as they count down the calendar days to prepare for and celebrate heartfelt traditions.Sims can ring in the new year with a kiss at midnight or enjoy a romantic date on Love Day. Food and family become one with a bountiful feast at the Harvest Fest, and holidays bring even more joy when Sims exchange presents or receive a surprise visit from Father Winter during Winterfest. Players can even create custom holidays and choose how their Sims celebrate their own traditions.”
All the action of the different seasons comes to The Sims 4 on June 22nd.
