Since November 7th last year, the Mass Effect franchise has been quiet on social media. There have been whispers of a remastered trilogy release in the past. Unfortunately, there’s been no official confirmation on that rumor. As renowned a franchise as Mass Effect is, there’s a loyal fanbase ready to see what BioWare has up their sleeves. As their latest merchandise rollout, BioWare and team unveiled The Art of the Mass Effect Trilogy: Expanded Edition, which they may or may not have hinted on last year.

Slated for February 23rd, 2021, The Art of the Mass Effect Trilogy: Expanded edition features “never before seen works of art” that goes further into depth the series’ expansive universe. This edition includes new material and information from downloadable content such as Lair of the Shadow Broker and Citadel. As Mass Effect’s Twitter post said above, there are so many stories and concepts they have yet to tell and part of it will be in this new release.

According to a press release, “Experience the evolution of the aliens, planets, ships, and technology that define this iconic science fiction universe, as the developers who brought BioWare’s masterpiece to life take you from the earliest design sketches through to the meticulous final renders.Brimming with concept art and commentary, this expanded edition is the ultimate companion to one of the greatest series in the history of gaming!”
