Super Mario Café Opens At Universal Studios Japan (VIDEO)
Announced several years ago, Universal Studios Japan had originally planned on opening its Super Nintendo World expansion sometime this summer, however, the recent pandemic altered those plans, pushing them into 2021. The opening of the area would have included a Super Mario Café, but now it seems that this particular part of the upcoming experience has now been opened to the public.
By the looks of things, the Super Mario Café is highly influenced by the Super Mario franchise, featuring warp pipes, question blocks, piranha plants, and more. Fans can pick up various merchandise themed around Mario, Luigi, and Peach, as well as snack on drinks themed after the franchise complete with mustache or crown, topped straws for visitors to enjoy. The café also has two cream-filled sandwiches that fans can order, one depicting Mario’s hat topped with strawberries and another topped with grapes depicting Luigi’s hat. The recent media- only opening ceremony even saw real-life versions of both Mario and Luigi putting on a show.
