Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Delay Confirmed

Kill the Justice League Delay

While the gaming industry has fared quite well during the pandemic, one way it has been impacted has been in the prevalence of development delays. With so many game studio employees out there switching to remote work from home, many projects have faced delays that push release dates back further and further. This continues to hit games in development, including Evil Dead: The Game and Overwatch 2. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has been a game that has excited DC fans wanting to see Rocksteady Studios take on heroes other than Batman. However, it seems a Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League delay will keep fans waiting longer than expected.

Rocksteady Games Director Sefton Hill recently announced the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League delay on his official Twitter account. Sefton shared a gif of the characters from the game expressing visual disappointment, with the 2022 number from the trailer having a “3” spray painted over it. According to Sefton, the team has decided to delay the game from its anticipated release this year, to an expected release of Spring 2023.

Sefton further defends the decision by saying “I know a delay is frustrating but that time is going into making the best game we can. I look forward to bringing the chaos to Metropolis together. Thanks for your patience.” Reports indicated last month that a Kill the Justice League delay was likely, but other reports also indicated that the similarly-anticipated Gotham Knights was on track to be released this October.  Hopefully that game keeps DC fans occupied until next spring. If Harley Quinn and King Shark can hang on in lockup until Amanda Waller calls them in for a mission, so too can their fans.
