Marvel’s Spider-Man Mod Turns You Into An Actual Spider (VIDEO)
As gamers grow more and more tech savvy in tandem with gaming technology evolving, modders become increasingly talented in their practice. That said, many of these mods often end up being replacements of digital models in games with those of other characters or objects. This has included the ever present crossovers of figures like Shrek or Thomas the Tank Engine, to legit tribute crossovers like the recent Matrix Sifu mod. Marvel’s Spider-Man has been a fairly well-received game the past few years, though it has not seen too many mods. Now though, a new Marvel’s Spider-Man mod has surfaced that turns Peter Parker into an actual spider.
YouTube user jedijosh920 recently released a new video showcasing their Marvel’s Spider-Man mod. The mod simply replaces the player’s digital model of Spider-Man/Peter Parker with that of a tiny little spider that crawls on the ground. While the spider lacks any unique animations, it can execute all of Peter’s moves and abilities, including anything involving webs naturally. It is quite humorous to see such a small spider shooting such large webs and taking down such proportionally large enemies. It is quite reminiscent of how Ant-Man and the Wasp look fighting enemies in the MCU when in their shrunken forms.
The digital model of the spider is not new, but actually pre-existed in the game as the spiders that appear in the science labs. It is one of these spiders that escapes and eventually bites Miles Morales, giving him his Spidey powers. There have been other humorous mods in the past in games like Skyrim that turn Peter Parker into spider-like enemies, and it is great to see this Spider-Man mod bring the joke full-circle. With great power, comes great mod-sponsibility.
