Serious Sam's Bogus Detour

Serious Sam is a series that we have seen since 2001 with the development of Serious Sam: First Encounter, which first released for the PC and Xbox. Croteam, the developers for the game, have seen the game through numerous releases of the title and worked with other development teams such as Climax Solent on spin-offs. Fans will be excited to hear that in Summer 2017, another spin-off will be released for this franchise – Serious Sam’s Bogus Detour.

The independent developers from Crackshell, working with Croteam and Devolver Digital, will be releasing a retro-style version of the series dubbed Serious Sam’s Bogus Detour. The game will take you through familiar landscapes of the Mediterranean, biological weapons labs, and a high-tech moon base. You can go it alone in a single-player campaign, or bring along four battle buddies for a cooperative campaign, as you work to take down the deadly monsters that strive to bring the demise of the human race.

In a press release from the aforementioned developing teams, the CFO for Devolver Digital Ford Parker expressed his excitement:

“Our boys in R&D have been looking into ways to take combine this hot wave of so-called indie games with the tried and true Serious Sam profit formula and it looks like they’ve hit a homerun touchdown goal with Serious Sam’s Bogus Detour.”

The game is not available for preorder yet but can be viewed on their official steam store page for more information. Check out the brand new reveal trailer released by Devolver Digital in the video below:
