May the Fourth Be With Us as Steam Launches Their Star Wars Day Sale
It is a time of great excitement across the galaxy. The unofficial Star Wars Day that started as a joke is almost upon us, and as such, retailers across the planet have begun massively discounting Star Wars games and lumping them into ludicrous bundles for us wannabe Jedi (or Sith). Leading the charge, and the retailer most likely to rip the money from our wallets, is Steam, whose Star Wars Day sale is now live.
First and foremost, Steam is offering their ‘Star Wars Complete Collection’ for $44.04. Of course they are, because it’s for May ‘4th’ after all. The bundle includes titles such as Star Wars – Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars Battlefront II, Star Wars: TIE Fighter Special Edition, and many more. The other available bundles arguably offer the most bang for your buck. The ‘Lucasarts Jedi Knight Bundle,’ for example, is available at -75% off, bringing the price down to $4.99 for Star Wars – Dark Forces and the other four games of the Star Wars Jedi Knight series. For those looking for aerial combat, Steam’s Star Wars Day sale also includes their ‘Star Wars X-Wing Bundle,’ which is available for $29.99. The bundle features Star Wars – X-Wing Alliance, Star Wars – X-Wing Special Edition, Star Wars X-Wing vs TIE Fighter – Balance of Power Campaigns, and Star Wars: TIE Fighter Special Edition. That said, as seen below, each individual game is currently on sale for $3.99, so for now, it would make more sense to purchase them piecemeal rather than as a bundle, if you don’t plan on purchasing the complete collection.
All of the previously mentioned bundles, along with each individual game, are on sale now through May 8th, so those of you looking to get in on some heavily discounted Star Wars awesomeness have until then. Just make sure to do yourself a favor and check the price of the individual game you are considering versus the price of the available bundles to make sure you are getting the best deal!
