Spider-Man PS4 Saves Can Now Transfer To Spider-Man Remastered

Spider-Man PS4 Saves

The PlayStation 5 has finally been released, and early adopters have been enjoying its power with its launch titles. The big new stand-out title is, of course, Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man: Miles Morales, winning over fans and reviewers with its story and quality gameplay. Fans were also excited to learn that a special edition of the game on PS5 also included a remastered version of the 2018 Insomniac Spider-Man title that focused on Peter Parker. However, the remaster did not allow save data transfer between the PS4 and PS5 versions of the 2018 game at launch. Thankfully, a new update has now enabled Spider-Man PS4 saves to be converted to the PS5 version of the game.

Insomniac Games announced a new update to the Spider-Man PS4 game and its PS5 remastered counterpart, on the company’s official Twitter account. The process will require downloading both updates to the user’s PS4 and PS5, meaning fans hopefully have not tossed their PS4’s just yet. First, users must download the PS4 game update allowing for Spider-Man PS4 saves to be exported. This update also throws in the three new Spider-Man suits included in the Remastered PS5 version of the game, including the “Amazing Suit” based on the suit used by Andrew Garfield in the Amazing Spider-Man films.

After exporting the Spider-Man PS4 saves, users will also need to have the Spider-Man Remastered update downloaded to their PS5. After that, the PS4 save exports can be then accessible in the Remastered game. In addition, the PS5 update also addresses some issues with the visuals and improves the quality of ray-tracing in the game as well. Many fans had been quite vocal about wanting these inter-generational save transfers, and it seems that Insomniac had seen them and delivered. Insomniac has great power, and they’ve proven that they will utilize great responsibility.
