The Witcher Releases Festive #Witchmas Trailer Just In Time For The Holidays (VIDEO)

The cast and crew of Netflix’s The Witcher series have seemingly gone back to work on season 2 following the latest delay due to COVID-19. With the upcoming arrival of Holiday 2020, the team is celebrating with a lovely trailer showing off some of the finer moments of season 1 with a special, festive twist.

Netflix’s The Witcher series took to the show’s official Twitter to release a trailer celebrating the ‘season of #Witchmas.’ The entire trailer plays out as if Geralt is ‘terrified’ of the Holidays, with some of the background shots showing off newly placed decorative lights and even Renfri and Jaskier getting into the spirit of things and putting on seasonal hats. Check it out below:

Halfway into the trailer, Geralt decides that the thing he wants most this Holiday season is ‘slaying’, after which he goes into a wonderful montage where we see him chop humans and monsters alike into itty bitty bits. ‘Tis the season, right? Here’s what to expect from the upcoming Season 2 of The Witcher series:

“Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”

Season 2 of The Witcher series is expected to release at some point next year exclusively on Netflix.
