Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Shows Off New Climbing Techniques With Latest Trailer (VIDEO)
There’s been a steady stream of videos showing off various aspects that will be featured within the upcoming Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Gorgeous landscapes, luscious jungles, treacherous temples, and more have all been revealed in the previous months with much more to offer before the title’s full release. With dangers and traps around every corner it will be necessary for Lara to be able to traverse the land with ease. Thankfully, Square Enix has provided fans with a new trailer featuring exactly how she’ll navigate through her latest adventure.
While there was a grappling hook within Rise of the Tomb Raider it was mainly used to pull objects towards Lara or used for her to pull herself up. This feature makes a return to the series, however this time around it’s possible to latch onto objects and swing through the air with ease.
The rebooted Tomb Raider series so far has seen fairly linear traversal, seeing players simply moving in one direction or another in an almost interacteable cinematic scene. Hopefully the new, more fluid traversal options will be able to shake things up a bit and give players the ability to preform faster and more interesting movements.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is set to release on September 14th for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Let us know your thoughts on Lara Croft’s infamous origins arc in the comment section below.
