Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Gameplay Trailer Revealed Featuring Paititi Hub City (VIDEO)

Square Enix’s upcoming Shadow of the Tomb Raider game is shaping up to be a remarkable title, especially with the intense gameplay trailer released last month at E3 2018. Now, Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal have released yet another gameplay trailer, this time focusing on the massive new hub called the Hidden City of Paititi. Additionally, the video also showcases how Lara Croft interacts with the villagers, and provides a brief look at a few hidden tombs. Check out the 10-minute gameplay trailer below:

The new Shadow of the Tomb Raider trailer reveals that Paititi is integral to how successfully Lara thrives within the jungle, and the various tombs within it. Lara can barter with merchants to purchase quivers, outfits, crafting supplies, and more. One interesting tidbit is that the player can choose to hear the villagers in their native language, or the player’s default language. Additionally, completing Paititi side quests will provide Lara with unique rewards and, according to the narrator of the video, “new information within the narrative.”

Another interesting point made within the video is the existence of multiple difficulty levels for three different categories within the game: Exploration, Combat, and Puzzles. Each category can have its difficulty individually set to easy, normal, or hard, with a hard example being the removal of white paint on scalable ledges. While the tombs themselves won’t have different difficulty levels (with the exception of their actual puzzles), Lara may need to unlock specific perks to access these hidden tombs.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider arrives on September 14, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
