Tomb Raider Inferno #3 Delves Into The Trauma Of Lara’s Past (GALLERY)

Tomb Raider

Few heroes stack up when it comes to Lara Croft’s insatiable drive to uncover the truth. Tomb Raider Inferno is enjoying its third issue and with it, Lara may find the truth is more difficult to reach. Instead of a tomb, she’ll be raiding her memories, trying to suss out what really happened when she was a child.

The pivotal moment in question for Lara in Tomb Raider Inferno is the death of her father. Facing those memories may be the key to keeping Lara alive as she is faced with a difficult choice. Here is a preview courtesy of Comicbook.com:

Writers Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly are at the wheel of this story, paving the way for Lara to face her deepest trauma. Artist Phillip Sevy and colorist Hannah Templer bring the issue to life with Michael Atiyeh providing the cover art. Fans can check out a brief description of Tomb Raider Inferno #3 below:

The lines of reality are blurred and Lara is lost in a mind-altered state caused by the most improbable of circumstances. Lara is forced to face her own memories–however painful they may be and relive all of her worst experiences. However, Lara ultimately comes to a realization that may just be her salvation . . . or possibly her demise, and must make an imperative choice, once and for all. The penultimate chapter!”

For those looking to catch up, Dark Horse’s Tomb Raider Inferno 1 and 2 are available now in stores. This third issue will land on shelves August 8th, and the final issue will be available on September 26th. Be sure to keep up with Don’t Feed the Gamers for all of your nerdy news needs!
