September 2021 Games

It’s the beginning of an all-new month and while the weather begins to chill, September 2021 is looking to heat up with one of the bountiful gaming bevies of the year. The last few days may have already brought the thunder with the PlayStation debuts of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends and The Medium, and the next 30 days also hold such highlights as gorgeous magical adventure Kena: Bridge of Spirits, time-slipping shooter Deathloop, ​​and classic dungeon crawler remake Diablo II: Resurrected.

The start of September hits the ground running with the Sonic Colors Ultimate remaster, following with undead battle royale Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt and trippy musical odyssey The Artful Escape. September 10th is particularly crowded as the empathy-centric Life is Strange: True Colors, otherworldly die-roller Lost in Random, vibrant JRPG entry Tales of Arise, and a supremely goofy minigame compilation ​​WarioWare: Get It Together all arrive on the same day.

Keeping the new titles coming, the later days of September see debuts for the feathery flip-tricking ​SkateBIRD, a not-so-much Director’s Cut for Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding, open-world detective sequel Lost Judgment, and crisp toyetic racer Hot Wheels Unleashed. Several substantial pieces of DLC also drop this month​, such as a Jungle Book collaboration for Fall Guys, ​Outer Wilds’ new Echoes of the Eye content, and the big Mythos expansion for A Total War Saga: Troy.

As one might expect, September 2021 is packed with even more games/DLC where that came from. The month ahead is packed with yet another monsoon of releases, all of which can be viewed in the list below.
