For 20 years, Human Head Studios has been crafting games for multiple different platforms. Most famously known for their work on the original Prey series, they have also worked on a title that is finally getting a sequel 17 years after the original’s release. Rune was a title made in 2000 and was a Norse mythology based action-adventure game that centered around the conflict between Odin and Loki, building up to Ragnarok. The trailer for Rune: Ragnarok offers little in terms of gameplay, only that it will feature an open-world sandbox for players to explore. The trailer does hint at the potential plot for the game, which will in some way spell the end for the gods of Norse mythology.

From birth, the children of the North hear tales of the end of the world. A battle so great the gods fall and the Nine Worlds are consumed by frost and fire. But these tales are false. The gods did not perish. For seven years our worlds have been devoured by death and destruction. Now, mankind must rise and do what the gods could not. Ragnarok must end.”

There has yet to be a release date set for this title, however the team’s webpage mentions the company is working on projects for multiple platforms, including VR.
